This week's interview features Toronto-born Freedom or Death and the inspiration behind their lyrically-driven, electronic folk tag. Dynamic duo Steve Fernandez and Sway met while working in marketing at a label together and later teamed up to explore a more independent and artistic form of music in the birth of Freedom or Death. Freedom or Death, the Greek war term synonymous with a resistance to oppression and tyranny, is the mentality behind this pair. They are creating lyrically-empowered music which they prefer, not that which the industry supports in order to make an extra buck.
